Practice Kung Fu as an act of compassion toward the self. Kung Fu nourishes the body and purifies the mind so they can be seen as one. As compassion toward the self grows, compassion toward others also grows. Practice Kung Fu forms as an act of awareness. I'm aware of my hands and feet moving, I'm aware of body shifting, I am aware of my breath in coordination with my movements. As awareness grows, awareness for all beings grows. Awareness and compassion, body and mind, heaven and earth, Kung Fu and Zen, there is no separation. |
